Clock Options

Cables and chains

The clocks can be wound by cables through a keyhole in the dial, or chains, which when pulled lift the weights.

Grandfather clocks have key wound weights as standard.

6ft Grandmother clocks can have key wound weights as an optional extra. All other clocks use chains.

Additional finials on a
Grandfather clock hood

Finials

The finials are brass decorations on the hood tops. Extra finials can be added to the Grandfather clocks.

The two finials on the Grandmother clock can be omitted if preferred.

All brasswork is solid and is lacquered after polishing.

Inlays

The top inlay over the trunk door is usually an oval fan. The base inlay is a shell if no preference is stated.

The standard inlays can be seen on the left of the picture. The other inlays pictured are some alternative designs.

Brass Plaques

A brass plaque can be placed discreetly behind the hood door, worded to your requirements. The plaque usually includes the customer's name and date in the wording, so essential in centuries to come.
